Government Failure Overshadows Managerial Failure-Strategic Issues in Management of Public Enterprises

Even as peripheral issues relating to public enterprises continue to occupy policy-makers the strategic issues are largely overlooked. The strategic issues include a turnaround in physical and financial performance, devising effective strategies for modernisation, diversification, restructuring and technology development and the need to overcome failures in government policy which have inhibited managerial performance over the last few decades.
