Productivity in Selected Manufacturing Industries, 1946-1965

An attempt is made in this paper to estimate productivity in selected manufacturing industries for the period 1946 to 1965.
The first part of our estimate (1946-1958) covers 26 manufacturing industries and is based on the figures of the 'Census of Indian Manufactures. The second part (1960-1965) covers 25 manufacturing industries and is based on the figures of the 'Annual Survey of Industries'.
