Industrial Concentration by the Managing Agency System in India, 1948-1968

This article examines the extent of control by firms under managing agencies since India's independence in 1947. By taking this long sweep of years, it hopes to shed some light on the direction of structural change that occurred in India's 22 major industries during 1948-68.
