Remembering M S Prabhakara

My memory recalls seeing M S Prabhakara for the first time during the 1970s when I was growing up at the Jalukbari campus of Gauhati University. He would drop in for a meal and a convivial chat with my father. His house in the campus abutted a hill. The ancient remains of a boat had been dug up in this compound and the authorities imaginatively encased it in glass. Many who walked up the hill would also peer in.
