Value Capture through Global Production Network and Financialisation

Contours of Value Capture: India’s Neoliberal Path of Industrial Development by Satyaki Roy, Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 2020;
pp xiv + 202,
`895.

On the other hand, it proposes an alternative framework to study the process of value capture, which is essentially located within the realm of the Marxian theory of capital accumulation, of “value capture.” In Satyaki Roy’s own words, “the lens of value capture might add another crucial dimension in comprehending contemporary realities of industrial development” (p 5).
