Aesthetics of a Text

Aniket Jaaware’s text restores aesthetic to the act of reading a text. His style has an aesthetic of simplicity of thought and language. It removes the moral coercion that one is not forced to refer to the scholarly work of the “Academic Aakas” or the little gods of academia. These little gods who act as an intellectual password make it mandatory for young scholars to use it in order to access their own files.

Aniket Jaaware was thinking much ahead of the intellectual time that prevailed in the realm of contemporary imagination. This is evident in the amazing text that he wrote for the community of thinking and acting intellectuals. He invited us to think aloud with the text or even against the text. As he also thought much ahead of the lived time or physically tragic time he declared that to access the text, readers did not require his consent.

The minimalist approach has an ethical commitment to bring humility to concepts. Concepts do not become dreaded or defiling. Aniket invites you to think about his text in a minimalistic way. He restores aesthetic to the act of reading a text. This style, in his own words, has an aesthetic of simplicity of thought and language. It takes away the necessity of an elaborate scholarly apparatus of citation, referencing and footnotes. It removes the moral coercion of being forced to refer to the scholarly work of the “Academic Aakas” or the little gods of academia. These little gods who act as an intellectual password make it mandatory for young scholars to use it in order to access their own files. Aniket’s text suggests that he does not have the academic ambition to become an intellectual password. His moral stake in making scholarship egalitarian suggests the elimination of the asymmetries in the process of receptivity of knowledge.
