Dupatta Falls
From a pristine, green, little-known destination, a secluded waterfall and its surrounding forest becomes a regular, busy stop on tourist itineraries.
We clambered up the last steep bank and there it was, beautiful and a complete surprise; a stretched veil of water splashing down a cliff face. We weren’t looking for it. Our neighbours hadn’t told us about it. No guide book had led us here. We discovered this waterfall by ourselves.
“I think we should call it Dupatta Falls,” said my eight-year-old. This name for the falling scarf of water was perfect, and it stuck.
