“Why is the sea so blue?” Priyanka asked her sister as they stood by the seashore.
“That is because it comes from foreign lands,” her sister Vaishnavi, older and wiser, thought for a while and replied unhurriedly. Those were joyous times, school holidays devoted to walking around the vast open spaces in their seaside village. The sea never did look so blue in Mumbai where they lived then and now.
