We regret the typos in the equations related to Moran’s I in the special article “Regional Divergence and Inequalities in India” published in Economic and Political Weekly, 7 January, Vol LII (1): 102–10. The summation signs were only showing j=1 in equations, rather than i=1 in the first summations of numerators and for both the denominators. The correct equations of Moran’s I are,
