Climate Change Battle in Paris
To understand the outcome of the Paris talks on climate change, it is important to refl ect on the key clauses of the Paris Agreement and the processes that led to its adoption. This article offers an initial assessment and a discussion of whether the views of the developed or developing countries (or both) prevailed. The developing countries went to Paris with some clear objectives and principles. Though some aspects were diluted, they got their red lines protected but they did not manage to get all their positive demands accepted.

1 Introduction
The Paris Agreement adopted by the 21st Conference of Parties (P21) under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) on 12 December 2015 was the outcome of major battles on a multitude of issues, especially between developed and developing countries.
