Though the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has altered the political map of this country by making false promises of acche din and development for all, the country is observing its saffron imposed nationalism. Since the BJP has come to power there is a sudden rise in the hate speeches against Muslims in every part of the country. (Un)surprisingly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has maintained a calculated silence on the controversies of “love jihad”, Ramjade vs Haramjade and Ghar Wapsi. We are witnessing a government today where minorities do not enjoy equality and freedom in their daily lives. What does the BJP, with its hate-mongering units like the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and the Bajarang Dal, want to achieve?
