No 'Curbs'

The article written by Ramachandra Guha (EPW, 28 June 2008) which, among other things, attempts to cast aspersions on the functioning of the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML) has drawn the attention of the management. This article inter alia states:

...the fear of offending their political masters has made the NMML management restrict access to documents relating to Kashmir, China, the Emergency, and other such matters deemed contentious or controversial. Again, this policy is probably illegal, for the donors of these collections of private papers. It is to be noted that the Executive Council of the NMML, at its meeting held on 17 July 2008, expressed its distress at the unfortunate observations made in the above passage, attempting to denigrate and malign the NMML.
