Emerging Patterns in Andhra Pradesh M Krishnaiah The nature of changes in the relations between agricultural labourers and employers forms a central issue in agrarian transformation. This paper aims at an analysis of the changing nature of attached labour in backward, semi-arid rural areas in Andhra Pradesh. It is argued that the changes in the labour systems are caused by regional specificities and broad generalisations would not throw much light.
