SPIC-Rise in Turnover
EPW Research Foundation INDAL, the country's largest manufacturer of semi-fabricated aluminium, closed the year ended March 1996 with a sales turnover of Rs 1,053 crore, up by 17 per cent. Other income was up by Rs 11 crore. Interest costs moved up by 13 per cent. Provision for depreciation was up by 11 per cent. Tax provision moved up from Rs 2 crore to Rs 3 5 crore. Indal ended the year with a net profit of Rs 114 crore, up by 24 per cent. The company has declared a total dividend of 40 per cent for the year.
