Anirudba Gupta Kremlin's decision to pit Russia's entire military might against the Chechen rebels, supported as it was by the US and approved by the European governments, reveals the rough edges of an emerging multi- power world with America, Europe (not yet united), Russia, China and perhaps Japan contending for power.
