On Socialism

On Socialism THIS is with regard to Rajeev Bhargava's 'Continuing Relevance of Socialism' (October 3, 1992). Though he has listed the salient features of his type of socialism, he has left out (he most important one, to wit, the economic aspect. What should be the economic structure of a socialist society? Evidently, he is against the state owning the means of production. Then, who should? Individuals or groups of individuals! If that is so, how is it different from a capitalist society? Or, is it implied that all those values and ideals he has enumerated when applied to a capitalist society will transform it into a socialist one?
