Following the change of government Justice Madon has written to the minister of state for home Subodh Kant Sahay resigning from the commission. Going by the judge's allegations the commission was non-functional throughout its brief existence and the new government was satisfied with extending the tenure of the commission without providing the basic infrastructure.
