Hero Honda Motors

HERO HONDA MOTORS has been promoted by Hero Cycles in technical and financial col-laboration with Honda Motor Co, Japan. The company will manufacture India's first 4-stroke, 100 cc motorcycle. The plant is located at Dharuhera, in Haryana, a centrally notified backward area, about 70 kms from Delhi along the Delhi-Jaipur highway. The major plant and machinery for the project have been supplied by Honda Motor Co and other leading Japanese manufacturers as per Honda's stan-dards and specifications. Honda will provide continuous technical knowhow, in addition to 26 per cent equity participation. The initial in-stalled capacity is 1,20,000 motorcycles per annum.
