Faulty Export Strategy ALTHOUGH official figures pertaining India's castor oil exports in 1980-81 are not yet available, indications are nat they have suffered a severe setback, According to reliable estimates available now, shipments of castor oil from India were around 35,000 tonnes in 1980-81 as compared to 70,000 tonnes in the previous year. Foreign exchange earn- ings were about Rs 25 crore, which were less thin half those in 1979-80.
