It commenced commercial production of all- synthetic fabric conveyor belting at the Sahaganj factory. The sophisticated assembly line for its manufacture was locally made, saving Rs 30 lakh in foreign exchange. In addition, a number of ether special purpose beltings for heat and chemical resistance and various other applications were added to the range.
