It has received a 'letter of intent' for setting up an ammonium bicarbonate plant with an installed capacity of 3,600 tonnes per annum at an estimated cost of Rs 35 lakhs. The company has also received a 'letter of intent' for annual manufacture of 18,000 tonnes of nitric acid, 13,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate and 3,600 tonnes of sodium nitrate/nitrite. It will also approach the Central government for stepping up capacity of nitric acid complex in view of the anticipated increase in demand for these products. The company is also seeking government permission for establishing a plant with an annual capacity of 63,500 tonnes for manufacture of NPK formulations like di-ammonium phosphate based on imported phosphoric acid. It is also pursuing its proposal for substantial expansion of manufacture of ammonia and urea based on naphtha as feedstock.
