Romesh Thapar IF at the moment the Opposition appears to be in a worse state of disarray than before, the impression is misleading. The confusions about united fronts, alliances and alignments are under sharp scrutiny. There is considerable confidence that from the upsets and eruptions there will emerge a number of clearly demarcated political formations prepared to work out the mechanics of joint or coalition action. The Jagjivan-Janata- Jana Sangh collisions and the Charan Singh-Raj Narain upsets are in a sense a reflection of the process through which confusions will be cleared.
