October 7, 1978 BANK FUND MEETINGS World Bank, IMF and the Poor THE World Bank has used the occasion of its 1978 annual meeting to provide two reports: a World Development Report and its own regular Annual Report. Both the reports cover the same ground: the problems and experience of development of so-called developing countries. The World Development Report provides considerable data and, based on them, a conceptual framework for discussion of development needs in the coming years. The Annual Report tries to work the role and operations of the World Bank into the overall picture.
