Tubewell Irrigation- Analysis of Some Technical Alternatives

The objectives of this paper are: (i) To consider a set of technical alternatives with respect to size of well method of drilling, type of pump, screen material, and source of energy for lifting water through shallow tubewells in India; and (ii) To provide a framework for a preliminary analysis of these alternatives under different economic and technical assumptions.
