SOVIET UNION- Booming Economy

USSR has published the results of the third year of the Ninth Five-Year Plan under the title "Fruits of Shock Labour", A glance at the figures given in Table 1 would show that whereas 1972 had been an exceptionally bad year for the Soviet economy, 1973 has been an exceptionally good one. The Soviet economy has done well in all sectors but more so in the agricultural sector.
