NINETEEN Seventy-one was eventful enough, but we are beginning to wonder whether 1972 is going to be even more so. The boredom of the transitional years is over. There is a new expectancy in the air. Indira Gandhi sparks the mood. Myths and legends are being built around her and her rule. Indira is a phenomenon like Mao, it is said. Indeed, even if we were to stop at our present level of economic and political performance, it's on the cards that we would for some time appear healthy with a zero rate of growth.
