Problems Crowd In Romesh Thapar EVEN as the electioneering draws to an end, and we speculate on the possible results, the situation in Pakistan is taking the kind of turns which suggest that we should be more seriously involved in trying to find some way of preventing the rot. Valuable weeks have been lost in electioneering. One can only hope that for Pakistan the point of no return has not been crossed. Bhutto's perambulations we can understand, but the rise of the sinister Tikka Khan can be a portent of what is in store for us.
