Not by Incentives

A PROJECT has been set up under the Committee on Science and Technology (COST), the advisory body to the Cabinet, to make a detailed study of present incentives to industry for undertaking R&D. Government has made it known that it is not averse to offering more concessions to industry if the latter will spend more on research. Incentives are also to be offered for opting for indigenous technology.
