It apparently believes that some patient and persevering efforts will have to be put in before CP(M) can be dislodged from the vantage position it has itself dug into through its, work in the UF Government. After the demonstration of its capacity to completely paralyse the normal life that CP(M) inflicted on the State through the protest strike on March 17, (organised by it single-handed against the combined opposition of all parties), it indeed requires the rustic naivette of Bangla Congress leadership to think that CP(M) is a discredited force.
