Although the computerisation of land records was begun over a decade ago, the project has not been implemented effectively, with the states yet to bring forth their own resources to complete the centrally-sponsored scheme. Besides, there are several constraints in the implementation of such a programme, including issues of investment and technology, which need to be addressed.
