For several years the people of Jungle Mahal in West Bengal have been suffering persecution, humiliation and indignities at the hands of the state forces and armed bullies financed by the ruling parties.
We are deeply dismayed at the arrest of Lachit Bordoloi, adviser to the Manab Adhikar Sangram Samiti (MASS). We fear for the safety of Lachit Bordoloi, who was picked up from Moranhat, between Dibrugarh and Sibsagar, on February 11.
